General course Description: This is a course about the relationship of law and society in many different societies. It provides some basic material on how law actually operates in the real world, but uses as illustrations studies of the law in action in various countries from different parts of the world, including such countries like Brazil, Canada, China, England, Germany, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, Russia, Thailand, United States, Vietnam and Venezuela.
