The course examines some of the legal issues, like the application of antitrust and labor law, that have arisen in connection with the evolution of the business. General course Description: This seminar will examine the legal dimensions of the business of professional sports. Topics covered will include the history and evolution of sports leagues, the application of antitrust and labor law, drugs and sports, the rules governing sports leagues, and the relationships between owners, players, fans and the media. Labor Law (Law 301) is a prerequisite for this course. Course Style: A Substantive course teaches the law, theory, and policy in a particular area of law Course Frequency: Varied, check w/ registrar |
