Students interested in representing health care providers or lifescience companies involved in stem cell research may find it useful to have a basic understanding of human genetics and molecular biology. Recent advances in these areas have moved scientists further toward understanding the genetic control of development, and how complex multi-cellular structures are generated from a fertilized egg. General course Description: The role of stem cells in human development and potential for treating disease. Guest lectures by biologists, ethicists, and legal scholars.
