Description:

The practice of executive compensation and benefits varies from firm to firm but, generally, lawyers who practice executive compensation either serve companies or corporations in negotiating their contracts with future or current employees or individuals, usually an executive officer or director, negotiating their contracts with a company. The practice of executive compensation at big firms usually involves a lot of work on mergers and acquisitions in assessing the cost liabilities to the company purchasing another company and, if necessary, advising on and negotiating any employment agreements or related contracts with those executives continuing after the transaction.
