Though not essential for a trademark practice, having a basic understanding of these other areas of IP law can be helpful. This course provides a more in-depth look at copyright law than the overview course, Introduction to Intellectual Property. General course Description: Copyright law protects the broad range of creative expression -- from literature, music, art, and film to computer software and video games. This course provides a strong foundation in the workings of the copyright system as well as the challenges posed by the digital age. Course Style: A Substantive/Statutory course deals with law, theory, and policy in the context of a particular code or statutory scheme. Course Frequency: Offered once a year |
