[ Academia ] as a Clinic : This clinic is a great choice for students interested in Supreme Court advocacy who want to do advanced work on the kind of projects offered in the first Supreme Court clinic. The first Supreme Court Clinic is a prerequisite to this Advanced Clinic. General course Description: The Advanced Supreme Court Litigation Clinic provides an opportunity for students who have already successfully completed the Supreme Court Litigation to continue their work in the Clinic. Work includes research and drafting petitions for certiorari and oppositions, merits briefs, and amicus briefs, compiling joint appendices, and preparing advocates for oral argument, as well as commenting on drafts of briefs being filed by lawyers in other cases. Advanced students also continue to participate in the Clinic's discussion of cases during case rounds. Course Style: A Clinic provides hands-on practical legal experience under the supervision of a faculty member and complemented by a seminar. Course Frequency: Offered once a year |
