LAW 619 Environmental Science for Managers and Policy Makers (Accelerated) Law School Recommended for route(s): [ Transactional ] Environmental Law: Energy & Climate Change Why it is relevant for ... [ Transactional ] as a Foundational Course : Environmental lawyers should understand the fundamentals of earth systems and environmental science and be able to develop modeling skills that are important for environmental policy analysis and resource management. Students with background in modeling and environmental sciences should take this course rather than Environmental Science for Law and Policy Makers. General course Description: (Same as E-IPER 339 and OIT 339). A somewhat-accelerated version of Law 608, this course covers more environmental science by spending less class time on the fundamentals of modeling (model representation in a spreadsheet, optimization and Monte Carlo simulation). Students with background in modeling and environmental science should take Law 619 rather than Law 608. Course Style: A Substantive course teaches the law, theory, and policy in a particular area of law |
