[ Litigation ] as a Clinic : This clinic is a great choice for students who already have experience in one of the civil law clinics and want to work on more advanced community law projects and other matters that benefit low-income clients. The first Community Law Clinic is a prerequisite to this Advanced Clinic. General course Description: The Advanced Community Law Clinic offers law students who already have some significant civil clinical experience the opportunity to work under supervision on more advanced projects and cases being handled by the Stanford Community Law Clinic, including litigation and other matters. Advanced Clinic students will also work with Clinical Supervising Attorneys to provide direction and guidance to those enrolled in the Community Law Clinic for the first time, in areas in which Advanced Clinic students have already acquired some expertise. In addition, Advanced Clinic students may function as team leaders on larger projects in which the Clinic is engaged. Course Style: A Clinic provides hands-on practical legal experience under the supervision of a faculty member and complemented by a seminar. Course Frequency: Offered twice a year |
