[ Transactional ] as a Relevant Course outside SLS for those interested in Neural Systems : Though not essential, it is useful for attorneys representing lifescience companies to have a basic understanding of the science underlying their client's business and current issues in that area. Students may want to consider taking 1 or more classes which look at the brain in physiological terms and examine ways the brain regulates behavior. Neurological disorders are a growing issue in health care, since these conditions are increasingly present in an aging population. This course focuses on neurodegenerative diseases and on current neuroscience techniques, from whole brain imaging to techniques used at the molecular and genetic level. General course Description: Current therapeutic research for neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, neurodegenerative disorders, depression, anxiety, and aging.
