[ Academia ] [ Litigation ] [ Regulatory & Policy ] as a Relevant Course outside SLS for those interested in Diversity : Minorities, women, and immigrants are projected to make up approximately 85% of the workforce within the next ten years, and the workplace is becoming ever more global. Some of these demographic changes can lead to misunderstanding and conflict. For an opportunity to develop a greater understanding of some of the issues that will be facing future clients in the workplace, whether for management or employees, students are encouraged to take one of more courses that deal with work/family conflicts and diversity. General course Description: Issues, challenges, and opportunities facing workers, teams, and organizations working across national boundaries. Topics include geographic distance, time zones, language and cultural differences, technologies to support distant collaboration, team dynamics, and corporate strategy. Limited enrollment. Course Style: A Substantive course teaches the law, theory, and policy in a particular area of law |
