[ Academia ] as a Relevant Course outside SLS for those interested in Innovation : Many lawyers practice public interest law through or with nonprofit organizations. Often key to a non-profit's success is the strength of its leader's decision-making skills and creativity in looking for new and innovative solutions. The School of Management, Science, and Engineering offers a number of courses to assist students in developing such skills. General course Description: Factors that promote and inhibit creativity of individuals, teams, and organizations. Creativity tools, assessment metrics, and exercises; workshops, field trips, and case studies. Each student completes an individual creativity portfolio and participates in a long-term team project.
