[ Transactional ] as a Relevant Course outside SLS for those interested in Pollution : Students interested in pollution and public health issues should take one or more courses addressing air and water supplies, the causes of pollution and the consequences to public health of insufficient or polluted supplies. This course uses microeconomics and mathematical optimization theory in the design of environmental regulatory programs. General course Description: Quantitative introduction to the engineering methods used to study and seek solutions to current air quality problems. Topics: global atmospheric changes, urban sources of air pollution, indoor air quality problems, design and efficiencies of pollution control devices, and engineering strategies for managing air quality. Prerequisites: 70, MATH 51. Course Style: A Substantive course teaches the law, theory, and policy in a particular area of law |
