[ Regulatory & Policy ] as a Relevant Course outside SLS for those interested in Economic Integration : Students interested in international trade should consider taking 1 or more courses that review multilateral trade schemes and attempts at economic integration between and among countries. General course Description: Current attempts at economic integration throughout the Western Hemisphere, including the Andean Community, the Caribbean Common Market (CARICOM), the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), MERCOSUR, the North American Free Trade Area (NAFTA), and the Central American Integration System (SICA). Emphasis is on practical applications of integration efforts and nuts-and-bolts issues of how integration efforts function. Course Style: A Substantive course teaches the law, theory, and policy in a particular area of law |
