[ Transactional ] as a Relevant Course outside SLS for those interested in Distribution : Lawyers who work with clients in the biotech/life sciences industry need to understand the key components of product commercialization for their clients' technologies: regulatory approval and reimbursement by relevant payers in the system. Students should select 1 or more courses that address regulatory strategies that affect the development and marketing of biotech products. General course Description: Open to all graduate students. Issues relating to drug-device combination products, including review of recently approved products such as cardiac stent), and development, regulatory, and reimbursement issues. Emphasis is on market evaluation, product development, and regulatory strategies. Lecture only for 2 units; project for 4 units. Course Style: A Substantive course teaches the law, theory, and policy in a particular area of law |
